Tacoma Rock Band focuspoint Records EP, Announces Concerts in August

Tacoma, Wash. (PRWEB) August 1, 2006 Tacoma rock band focuspoint has scheduled two shows for the month of August and will record an EP at Binary Studios in Bellingham, Wash.

“We chose Binary Studios based on stellar recommendations from other bands,” says focuspoint bassist Paolo Mottola. “We have faith that this record will truly capture our live sound.”

The EP, titled “Lost in the Sound,” will feature all original songs, including “Project O,” “Lost in the Sound” and “Hypocrite.”

"I'm really stoked to get into the studio,” says focuspoint singer/guitarist Chris Watson. “We've got some great new songs, and we really want to get them on record and into people’s hands.”

focuspoint will record Saturday, Aug. 12, and will play its first concert of the month at Chiribins in downtown Bellingham later that night. The bill also includes Shaolin All-Stars and Armonikos. The show starts at 10 p.m., and attendees must be 21 or older.

"We'll be pumped up and ready for the show at Chiribins after recording all day," says focuspoint drummer Danny Woodward. "This EP is going to give us the push we need to play more shows on a consistent basis. We want to rock the stage as much as we can. That's how we'll increase momentum."

focuspoint will make its fifth appearance at Shakabrah Java in Tacoma on Saturday, Aug. 26. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is open to all-ages.

About the band:

focuspoint consists of singer/guitarist Chris Watson, guitarist Jeremy Olson, bassist Paolo Mottola and drummer Danny Woodward. The band members met while attending Stadium High School in Tacoma.
