Football recruiting seminars about the importance of academics and the benefits of college sports will begin on July, 28 2012 at Hillsgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia. Additional programs will be held on the following weekend, Saturday, August 4th at Milton High School in Milton, Georgia and Sunday, August 5th at Woodstock High School in Woodstock, Georgia. Programs will begin at 3:00 PM.

The Georgia Middle School Athletic Association (GMSAA) launches partnership with Football Recruiting Seminar Group for Middle School Athletes. Programs will begin in Cobb, Fulton and Cherokee counties at the end of July, 2012. (See additional dates and times below)

The College Player is a new-wave seminar program exclusively for middle school athletes and their families. Speakers travel the nation to educate young athletes about the life-long benefits of college athletics and the academic steps athletes must take before entering high school. The College Player speakers provide middle school athletes an introduction to present-day information about the ever-changing college recruiting process with their branded message, “If you’re in high school, it’s too late!”

Additionally, speakers incorporate motivational segments that focus on the importance of healthy lifestyles, sport specific development, and leadership skills. These distinct seminars deliver a fun and insightful message designed to stimulate athletes with information about high school challenges and college recruiting for the future. The College Player has been described as the “Red Bull” of sports information for young families today.

J.L. Brooks, Executive Director of the GMSAA, stated “We are very excited to partner with The College Player! We feel every middle athlete needs to understand what college opportunities are available and that it’s critical to begin the educational process at an early age. The GMSAA also recognizes that before our player's leave for high school, they need strategy to possibly earn a scholarship. Our families and athletes expect the best from our organization and it’s our job at the GMSAA to help them in every way we can. We encourage everyone to attend our seminars this summer.”

The first Atlanta based seminar will begin in Cobb County on July, 28 2012 at 3:00 PM at Hillsgrove High School in Powder Springs, Georgia. The next seminar will be held on the following Saturday, August 4th, 2012 in Fulton County at Milton High School in Milton, Georgia and Sunday, August 5th in Cherokee County at Woodstock High School in Woodstock, Georgia. All programs will begin at 3:00 PM and conclude at 5:00 PM.
