ForeSite Technologies has launched its “Do Some Good” program in an effort to give back to local nonprofits.

ForeSite Technologies, an IT support and Web development firm based in East Hartford Connecticut has launched a new program called “Do Some Good.” The purpose of the program is for ForeSite to give back to the local community and engage the community in selecting nonprofits to support.

In the initial phase of the program, which launched at the 2012 CT Business Expo, anyone who visits the Do Some Good page on ForeSite’s website is invited to select from one of three local nonprofits which ForeSite will make a donation to in their name. The current options are the Knox Foundation, who makes donations to promote horticulture and rejuvenation and civic renewal in Hartford; the Hartford Youth Scholars Foundation, who is dedicated to developing academic programs that increase college access for Hartford schoolchildren; and the Sadie Mae Foundation, who partners with local animal pounds and shelters to put animals that are in danger of euthanasia in foster homes.

The end goal of this campaign is not just to make monetary donations, but to also include other good works such as donation of time and skills. ForeSite currently works with many nonprofits and takes on about four pro-bono projects per year. Additionally, ForeSite encourages employees to “do good” in the community. President Mike Giuffrida is a board member of Family Life Education. Account Manager, Jen Lemke recently volunteered at Veterans Inc.'s stand-down day. Jim Ryan, Lead Developer volunteered his time in ForeSite’s name to work on the Main Street Awards Gala. Senior Network Engineer Bill Reyor, Network Architect Tom Allen, and Help Desk Engineer Andrew Peterson all work with the New England Society of Information Technology (NESIT) which holds events such as free computer clinics and workshops. Director of Sales Tracy Fox, Business Development Manager, John Myers, and Tom Allen all work with various organizations that help pets such as Project Pet, Inc., Puppy Rescue Mission, and Rocky's trust fund.
