Inc. 5000

ForeSite Technologies, an IT support and web development firm based in East Hartford has made the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing, privately held companies in 2012 by Inc. Magazine. ForeSite placed #3553 on the list for 2012 with a 52% three year revenue growth. The news of this win comes shortly after ForeSite celebrated its 15th year in business.

Growth at ForeSite is expected to continue. In July of 2012 Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced that ForeSite was chosen as one of five small businesses to receive funding from the state as part of Connecticut’s Small Business Express program. The loan of $250,000 will be used to grow the company both organically and through acquisition by creating six new jobs this year. ForeSite already acquired two other companies in 2012 and has other acquisitions in the works.

The 2012 Inc. 500|5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2008 to 2011. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2008. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent—not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies—as of December 31, 2011. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2008 is $100,000; the minimum for 2011 is $2 million.
