East Hartford, CT (PRWEB) October 17, 2012
ForeSite Technologies, an IT support and web development firm based in East Hartford, has announced the grand opening of its Nap Room and Fun Room for its employees.
Employees can use the dedicated cozy nook for up to half an hour a day to take a nap, or to have a quiet place to read or meditate. Major companies like Ben and Jerry’s and Google use nap rooms to increase employee productivity, which is one of ForeSite’s goals in providing this space. Studies have shown that napping improves alertness and creativity.
“We like people, not just computers is a message we tell our clients, but it rings true inside our culture here as well,” ForeSite’s president, Michael Giuffrida said. “When someone is too tired to function, that 20-30 minute nap can make all the difference.”
At the other end of the spectrum, ForeSite’s Fun Room is all about energy. The bright orange walls are lined in whiteboard paint. The space contains a projector and a small conference table and is ideal for informal creative brainstorming meetings. For employee breaks there is a pool table, mini fridge, and a play station 3 equipped with Rock Band and Guitar Hero.
East Hartford Mayor Marcia Leclerc celebrated the grand opening of the Nap Room and Fun Room, as well as the company’s 15th anniversary, with a proclamation from the Town and assisted Giuffrida with the ribbon cutting ceremony for employees.
