Branson Missouri is quickly gaining a reputation as the place to be for a 4th of July weekend trip
Branson, MO (PRWEB) June 30, 2011
Thousands of people will be coming to Branson, Missouri for their Independence Day Weekend Celebrations. Visitors normally come to this Midwest town for countless music shows, one-of-a-kind museums, and world class shopping. A Branson Missouri Fourth of July takes all of this to a fevered pitch with numerous celebrations, festivals, and fireworks in honor of America’s 235th Birthday.
The first question most people ask when coming to Branson on the Fourth of July is, “Where do I see the best fireworks shows?” This question isn’t as easy to answer as it sounds since there are dozens of shows taking place all over the Branson area with something unique to each one. As one of the leading lodging providers in Branson for nearly 20 years, Thousand Hills Resort offers this information to visitors about which shows, festivals and special events should be on their "to-do" list.
On Saturday, July 2nd, Kimberling City on Table Rock Lake is hosting the 26th annual Fireburst Celebration. This all day festival begins at 10 am and features kids activities and vendors of every kind including food, crafts, shops & more. All this is followed up with live music and fireworks at 9:15.
Sunday, July 3rd features two major festivals – The 4th Annual Light Up the Landing and the always popular Chateau on the Lake Fireworks Display. The Light Up The Landing Celebration takes place at the Branson Landing and features the usual unbeatable shopping experience on Lake Taneycomo, the hourly fire & water shows at the center square, followed by a live performance on the waterfront by Souled Out. The evening is capped off with fireworks over Lake Taneycomo, free to all. For guests who would prefer to watch the fireworks over Table Rock Lake from the comfort of their Majestic lake condo, the Chateau on the Lake Fireworks display lights up over Table Rock Lake at dusk.
Of course, the 4th of July itself sees the most festivals in Branson. The Branson Spirit of 76 Independence Day celebration takes place at the Branson Landing and is hosted by the Veteran’s Task Force. Branson has always prided itself on honoring America’s veterans and this attitude is out in full force on the 4th of July. That evening the longest running fireworks show in Taney County takes place in the historic city of Hollister, just south of Branson. Visitors to Table Rock Lake will want to take their boats towards Shell Knob to see the longest running fireworks show on the Lake, the 35th Annual Fire & Thunder display.
In addition to the great fireworks, Branson shopping enthusiasts will love the July 4th weekend sidewalk sale at Tanger Mall for additional savings. And of course all of Branson’s shows will celebrate America’s birthday in their own unique style of music, comedy and spectacle.
Branson Missouri is quickly gaining a reputation as the place to be for a 4th of July weekend trip. From a convenient location in the heart of the Midwest, to the three lakes for fun in the sun, to the well earned reputation as the “Live Music Capital of the World” Branson really is a uniquely American vacation spot.
