Basenotes to Launch Print Magazine Dedicated to Fragrance

Award-winning online fragrance resource Basenotes.net is celebrating its 10th birthday by launching a print version of its fragrance consumer website. The magazine will contain the news, reviews and interviews that have helped Basenotes.net become the long-standing website of choice amongst consumers and industry professionals alike and will also feature completely new and original content.

Basenotes International Fragrance Quarterly

basenotes.net has been the destination for fragrance enthusiasts and industry professionals for ten years. Now all of the news, consumer reviews, award-winning editorial and interviews with top industry names will be available in a print magazine. There will also be completely original regular features that will be exclusive to the magazine.

The magazine will published on a quarterly basis at a cover price of $6 an issue and will be available via online subscriptions from http://www.basenotesmagazine.com.

Site founder Grant Osborne says "For a long time now people have been asking why there is not a magazine for fragrance lovers. You can find many magazines for such a wide variety of hobbies these days yet still nothing for the fragrance enthusiast. We have 20,000 visitors every day so we know that there is interest and we thought we could use the experience and relationships that we have cultivated over the past decade to bring a lively and dedicated magazine to the consumers and industry people that have been such loyal users of the site."

Grant's wife and business partner Danielle Cooper adds "in a recent interview with Katie Puckrik of youtube vlog 'Katie Pukrick Smells' we quoted katie as saying "I firmly believe that fragrance appreciation at the mainstream level is the next hot phenomenon - right up there with the foody and wine scenes that have exploded in the last decade." Everything that we have witnessed over the last couple of years backs this statement up and we have constantly been answering requests and queries concerning a print version of the site in the last twelve months in particular."

The magazine has already excited the interest of industry professionals such as Dr Avery Gilbert, author of "What the Nose Knows: The Science of Scent in Everyday Life" who had this to say about the launch "Finally!--a magazine for people on the other side of the atomizer. Perfume enthusiasts found their voice on Basenotes and now the conversation moves to the printed page. I can't wait to put my feet up and start reading."
