Purcellville, VA (PRWEB) June 06, 2013
The Secure Cash & Transport Association (SCTA), a nonprofit group representing professionals in the ATM servicing, cash handling and processing, transportation, and safe keeping of cash and coin throughout North America, announces the selection of Frank Abagnale as the keynote speaker for its first annual conference. The SCTA conference takes place October 3-4, 2013 at The Drake Hotel in Chicago, IL.
Frank W. Abagnale is one of the world's most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement, and secure documents. For over 35 years he has worked with, advised, and consulted with hundreds of financial institutions, corporations, and government agencies around the world. More than 14,000 financial institutions, corporations, and law enforcement agencies use his fraud prevention programs.
Mr. Abagnale's rare blend of knowledge and expertise began more than 40 years ago when he was known as one of the world's most famous confidence men. This was depicted most graphically in his best-selling book, Catch Me If You Can, and a film of the same name, directed by Steven Spielberg with Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks. A Broadway musical of the same title opened in April 2011. It has since been nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The SCTA event will feature informative sessions, networking opportunities, and exhibits. Mr. Abagnale will offer the keynote address and provide a two hour seminar for attendees. A preliminary agenda includes topics related to the state of the cash-in-transit industry, cash and CIT operations, cyber risk insurance, security, and special reports on retail robbery, tiger kidnapping, technology, business continuity, and human capital risk.
The conference is designed to support the association’s mission to protect, strengthen, and unite the cash-in-transit and cash servicing industries.
