Under the leadership of Maria Camilla Pallavicini, Principe Pallavicini seeks to elevate wine production in Lazio to its highest levels, using Principe Pallavicini as a living case study.

Vias Imports Ltd. is proud to announce that it is the exclusive representative of the historic Principe Pallavicini estate in the United States. The Principe Pallavicini winery was established by one of Italy’s oldest noble families and houses over 300 years of viticultural experience.

Principe Pallavicini represents the largest, private estate in Frascati. Of the 208 acres of vineyards at their Colonna and Cerveteri holdings, 133 acres are dedicated to the cultivation of white varietals for the production of Frascati DOCG. In-depth knowledge of the land has led to identifying the best vineyards, and after careful study and experimentation conducted in the field and in the cellar, these vineyards are producing increasingly refined and enjoyable wines with their own outstanding personality.

The Pallavicini family has been a leading presence in Lazio since the second half of the 1600’s, interweaving its own history with that of Lazio’s viticulture. Under the leadership of Maria Camilla Pallavicini, Principe Pallavicini seeks to elevate wine production in Lazio to its highest levels, using Principe Pallavicini as a living case study. At the forefront of innovation in the region, Principe Pallavicini was among the first estates in Lazio to be grown on a high-density basis in the 1990’s. Always striving for innovation, the team of agronomist Mauro de Angelis, winemaker Carlo Ferrini and resident winemaker Carlo Roveda tailor both vineyard care and production techniques to fit the unique microclimate of the estate.

A fusion of new and old, Principe Pallavicini is gradually adding white varietals such as Grechetto, Greco and Semillon to the estate’s vineyards through its new plantings, allowing the line to bring more body and bolder flavor accents to its modern, white wines.

The Principe Pallavicini line will initially offer American clients a Frascati Superiore, Poggio Verde Frascati Superiore, a single vineyard Frascati, and a Syrah.
