McDivitt Law Firm to Offer "Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home" in Colorado Springs

Do your part to keep everyone safe this New Year's Eve by planning ahead and designating a driver or giving your keys to a friend. If you do find yourself in need of a safe way home, call Yellow Cab and tell them your ride is on McDivitt Law Firm.

McDivitt Law Firm will once again team up with Yellow Cab of Colorado Springs to provide free transportation to those who can't drive or feel they don't have a safe way home this New Year's Eve. The Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program will be available within Colorado Springs city limits from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2008, through 4 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009.

"Impaired driving is one of the deadliest crimes in this country. Nearly 13,000 people were killed in alcohol-related accidents last year," said Colorado injury attorney Michael McDivitt, founder of McDivitt Law Firm. "Do your part to keep everyone safe this New Year's Eve by planning ahead and designating a driver or giving your keys to a friend. If you do find yourself in need of a safe way home, call Yellow Cab and tell them your ride is on McDivitt Law Firm."

To request a free Colorado Springs cab ride home, individuals can call Yellow Cab Company of Colorado Springs at (719) 777-7777 and tell them McDivitt Law Firm is paying for their safe ride home. Cab rides are made available to area residents who otherwise might attempt to drive home after drinking. Rides are provided to an individual's residence--not to other drinking locations. Due to the high number of ride requests on New Year's Eve, rides cannot be guaranteed for everyone who calls; however, every attempt will be made to accommodate everyone who requests a ride home.

About Safe and Sober
This is the second year McDivitt Law Firm has sponsored the Safe and Sober Free Cab Ride Home program. Safe and Sober seeks to raise community awareness regarding the dangers of drunk driving and encourage individuals to make responsible choices by providing a safe transportation alternative during many of the traditionally high alcohol consumption holidays. Last New Year's Eve, the program provided more than 400 safe rides home.
