No more excuses, it's time to go digital.

All of the other big distributors are focused on up-selling people digital televisions or subscribing them to expensive cable fees; they are not about helping Americans receive free TV. The digital converters are available for everyone, and they work immediately. You don't have to wait until February 17.

Lake Worth, FL (PRWEB) November 14, 2008

FreeTVsignal.com, an electronic distributor based in Lake Worth, FL, is currently supplying free converter boxes in exchange for coupons available through NTIA's TV Converter Box Coupon Program. As the only distributor in the United States that provides converter boxes free of charge, freeTVsignal.com also offers free shipping and handling anywhere in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

"The government is providing up to two coupons per household to use toward converter boxes, and we think it's only fair to provide these boxes in exchange for each coupon," commented Marc Vetrano, cofounder of freeTVsignal.com. "All of the other big distributors are focused on up-selling people digital televisions or subscribing them to expensive cable fees; they are not about helping Americans receive free TV. The digital converters are available for everyone, and they work immediately. You don't have to wait until February 17."

On February 17, 2009, full-power television stations will make the transition from analog broadcasts to digital. The Digital Television Transition and Public Safety Act of 2005 requires residents to upgrade their antennas, and the Commerce Department's National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) created the TV Converter Box Coupon Program to assist residents with this historic transition. The coupon program is a service for all residents, and it provides them with up to two free $40 coupons per household.

These coupons are to be used toward purchasing new digital converter boxes, which range in price from $50 to $80. Until March 31, 2009, coupons are available for free at dtv2009.gov or by calling 1-888-DTV-2009. FreeTVsignal.com is providing coupon holders with free digital converter boxes and free shipping in exchange for each $40 coupon.

Residents can apply for up to two coupons online; once they receive these coupons, they can go to freeTVsignal.com for their free converters. "We just process your coupon number and send them to you in the mail. You don't even need to use a credit card," said Vetrano.
