We’re looking forward to GTEC 2010 where we will demonstrate how the FreeBalance Accountability Platform enables government IT departments to accelerate the development of public financial management applications.

FreeBalance, a global Government Resource Planning (GRP) software company, will be showcasing Version 7 of the FreeBalance Accountability Platform at the GTEC 2010 conference. The FreeBalance Accountability Platform is a government financial management software development platform. The FreeBalance Accountability Platform includes a reusable set of government financial management components. Software developers and Government IT departments are able to leverage the platform to more rapidly develop custom applications. These applications can be used to fill product gaps and provide functionality not currently available in existing government systems.

The FreeBalance Accountability Platform is web-based and has been optimized for rapid government deployment, operational effectiveness and performance. FreeBalance technology supports Web Services standards that enable departments and agencies to integrate with existing ERP, HR, and other government information systems. The FreeBalance Accountability Platform includes a technical framework and a comprehensive set of government entities.

"The FreeBalance platform is designed specifically for government use. Experience gained over the past twenty five years with governments around the world has provided us with the insight necessary to align technology, capacity and public financial management to achieve government goals," said Jose Saldanha, Vice President of R&D at FreeBalance. "We’re looking forward to GTEC 2010 where we will demonstrate how the FreeBalance Accountability Platform enables government IT departments to accelerate the development of public financial management applications."

FreeBalance will also take advantage of the GTEC opportunity to showcase Version 7 of its software applications for Civil Service, Assets, and Inventory management. These applications are built on the platform and are part of the FreeBalance Accountability Suite. The suite support GRP, Government Performance Management, Government 2.0, Shared Services and Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). The FreeBalance Accountability Suite is a fully compliant J2EE solution. The FreeBalance Accountability Suite is one of the most widely deployed financial management systems inside the Government of Canada. More than 50 government departments and agencies use FreeBalance software for enhanced public financial and salary management.

About GTEC
The theme of this year’s GTEC conference is "High Performance Government". Attendees will explore the pressure that is on governments world-wide to provide more and better services and to do so with diminishing budgets. The conference will also discuss the possibility of "doing more with less," and if doing more with less requires optimal performance. This year’s GTEC will consider the use of information management and technology to enable service delivery and will look at them within the context of optimal performance.
