Planned Parenthood premieres Freefall, a new dramatic web series for college freshmen that explores sex, relationships, drugs, alcohol, the beginning of friendships and the depths of heartbreak. Freefall explores issues that can raise awareness and hopefully save students’ lives.

College is a time when many young people choose to explore their newfound freedom, which unfortunately often leads to serious consequences. Freefall explores these problems in a dramatic web series that young adults can relate to.

Freefall is a new dramatic web series for college freshmen that explores sex, relationships, drugs, alcohol, the beginning of friendships and the depths of heartbreak. The initial five episodes follow a wild ride through the lives of five friends stumbling through their first year of college. An emotional mosh-pit that slams through the insanity of freshman year, Freefall explores sex, drugs, the beginning of friendships and the depths of heartbreak. As the five freshmen navigate their way through the first year of school, they discover the real education is outside the classroom – and it will take all they have to survive.

Freefall is produced by SOURCE Theatre and Video Productions of Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida and written and directed by SOURCE Director and nationally published playwright, KT Curran. Freefall is a dramatic web series, exploring issues that can raise awareness and hopefully, save students’ lives.

“College is a time when many young people choose to explore their newfound freedom, and unfortunately, that freedom can often lead to serious, and even devastating, consequences,” said Curran. “An estimated one in four college students has a sexually transmitted infection. Drinking by college students aged 18 to 24 contributes to an estimated 1,825 student deaths, 599,000 injuries, and 97,000 cases of sexual assault or date rape each year. Freefall explores these problems in a dramatic web series that young adults can relate to.”

Produced by SOURCE Theatre and Video Productions from Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, Freefall stars Cassandra Caballero, Lauren Chase, Will Little, Christina Norcia and Jack Polubinski. Freefall is written and directed by KT Curran with Alex Stafford as Director of Photography, Eric Liekefet as Executive Consultant, Brad Bryan Producing Consultant and On Set Sound, Zara Barrie Assistant Director and Frank Enright Sound Mixing.
