A Pair of Articles Showcases FrontPoint’s New Online Videos, Including How-To Demos, Podcasts and Customer Testimonials

Read Inc. Magazine lately? If so, you have probably seen more than one mention of FrontPoint Security, the leader in next-generation, wireless security systems. FrontPoint was recently featured in two Inc. articles – one in the new February 2010 print edition and one online – which received a lot of buzz and were largely shared across many social media sites. In both pieces, the popular and highly-regarded business magazine highlights how FrontPoint’s innovative use of online video has helped the company more effectively educate and communicate with its rapidly growing customer base.

As Inc. reporter April Joyner points out, FrontPoint’s effective use of online video has increased online sales leads by 250 percent since the company began its video program last August. She writes:

In addition to tutorials on the benefits of wireless security and how to install a DIY security system, FrontPoint's video inventory includes an educational podcast series on various home security topics and a customer testimonial program, I Am FrontPoint. The latter invites customers to tell the FrontPoint story in their own words and share why they chose to purchase a system from FrontPoint, how easy it is to set-up and install a system, and what cool ways they are using FrontPoint to monitor their homes.

“Through video, we’ve found a way to empower our customers as our advocates,” said Villar. “If a picture is worth a thousand words, a customer video testimonial is worth a few chapters.”

Inc. Magazine first cited FrontPoint in its social media toolkit on January 19, 2010, discussing I Am FrontPoint and the pros of using video in a social media program. In the February 2010 issue, FrontPoint is featured in a longer article about how the company uses online video to educate and engage customers across various platforms on a daily basis.
