We are excited to merge the Crave and FrozenPeaks teams,” said Jay Mena, CEO of FrozenPeaks. “FrozenPeaks and Crave share a philosophy of offering a superior product in a high-end, vibrant environment. The similar principle, commitment to customer service and shared aggressive expansion strategy creates a industry-leading frozen yogurt retail model.”
Supporting Mena and his expertise in the food service and retail environment are Crave executives Ronald E. Cohen and Victor Chera, who both have extensive experience in real estate development specifically for retail stores.
Cohen is a renowned successful real estate developer and private investor in the public and private sectors. Mr. Cohen held various positions at his family-owned and operated drugstore giant Duane Reade. During his tenure, Duane Reade achieved the highest sales per square foot of any drugstore in the US.
Chera has made his mark as an accomplished businessman, entrepreneur and real estate developer. He was instrumental in the profitability and expansion of his family’s business, Wertheimer’s Department Stores. He also leveraged his fashion and retail experience in the successful launch of a niche clothing retail operation.
FrozenPeaks plans to add 30 locations over the next two years by offering franchise opportunities. FrozenPeaks built its franchise model after the self-serve model, store layout and business plan of its highly successful retail operations. Working with the California-based Franchise Growth Partners (FGP), FrozenPeaks offers hands-on assistance throughout the franchise process, including support in identifying locations, employee training and marketing.
