Full Sail University (fullsail.edu) is proud to announce the first Girls n’ Gaming summer camp being held in the newly constructed Full Sail Studios. The annual Girls n’ Gaming camp runs August 2 – 6, where participants will learn from industry professionals, and explore the process of game development from concept to completion as it would occur in the real world.

The five-day Girls n’ Gaming summer camp offers a compressed production cycle based on the model used in the game development industry. Participants will work in teams to conceptualize, structure, and build their game utilizing the same tools and software that are used by professionals.

Guests will be able to test, revise, and ultimately be able to complete their game, presenting it in an open forum at the conclusion of the Girls n’ Gaming summer camp. All participants will come away from this experience with an understanding of the game development process, as well as their very own created, playable game.

“The Girls n’ Gaming summer camp is here for the kids who share the same enthusiasm about the gaming industry, and want to learn the complete process of game development,” said Rob Catto, Full Sail University’s Director of Game Studies. “What they walk away with is an experience that has the potential to shape their futures, and help them to enhance a true passion for gaming.”
