you really do feel like you are at the fair. I also hope this game will reach families who may have never had the opportunity to visit the fairgrounds and those who have not been introduced to the history and value of agricultural fairs.
Solon, OH (PRWEB) August 25, 2009
J. Bell-Jones LLC has now published a new board game called THE COUNTY FAIR GAME© and has finally made it available for families who have wanted to "take the fair home." The board game enables men, women, girls and guys to 'return to the fair' and play out the annual historical and local celebration on the beautifully illustrated game board, marking the activities and contests enjoyed at county and state fairs across the nation.
Joanne Zwingler Farinacci, Owner of The County Fair Game©, and who grew up in rural Ohio, states that, "you really do feel like you are at the fair. I also hope this game will reach families who may have never had the opportunity to visit the fairgrounds and those who have not been introduced to the history and value of agricultural fairs."
Players begin with $85 cash, "park" their marker in one of four parking lots, then enter the board fairgrounds through the ticket gate, just as they would in real life. With the roll of the die, players move about the fairgrounds, spending their money at concession stands, for grandstand shows, and to make deposits on a mower, tractor, or goat. Livestock is well represented in the game, as are the traditional arts and crafts, educational displays and agricultural exhibits. The strategy is to spend cash while earning as many ribbons and badges as possible. There are four midway games, stuffed animal prize cards, ribbon cards, and more. One particularly fun feature is the "Post Time" spaces, which take a player to the grandstand racetrack for a "harness race." There is a blacksmith shop, a marching band space, a military space, and even a Sunday choir space, plus many more surprises.
Play is fast, lively and different each time you play it. The County Fair Game© will quickly become a favorite among fun family games.
"I am proud to say the game was manufactured in the United States and meets the strict safety parameters set forth in the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (HR 4040)," points out Farinacci. She adds, "First buyers of the game have expressed great excitement about the quality of the game's contents and its lively and wholesome entertainment."
Toy retailers who sell fun board games, schools, churches, farm families, rural and city residents alike, scouting groups, and friends of animals, and friends of friends will be interested to learn more about this product.
