Business District Magazine today announced that it is hosting the Central Texas Entrepreneur Funding Symposium (www.FundingSymposium.com), a one day conference focused on educating entrepreneurs throughout Central Texas on how to prepare their companies for funding.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 18, 2008 -- Business District Magazine today announced that it is hosting the Central Texas Entrepreneur Funding Symposium (www.FundingSymposium.com), a one day conference focused on educating entrepreneurs throughout Central Texas on how to prepare their companies for funding.

The Central Texas Funding Symposium will be held on April 18 at the JJ. Pickle Center and will include a distinguished roster of speakers and panelists. It will offer industry expertise on topics, such as preparing for funding and investors, working with Angel Investors and Venture Capital, securities, valuation, term sheets and alternative sources of funding.

The day will conclude with a "fast pitch" competition where entrepreneurs get a one-minute pitch in front of the Central Texas Angel Network. The winner of the competition will be granted an opportunity to present a full presentation with the Angel Network. Entrepreneurs can submit their executive summaries for consideration to Hall Martin at director @ centexangels.org. Deadline for submission is April 1, 2008.

"We're excited about our participation in the Central Texas Funding Symposium," states Hall T. Martin, director of the Central Texas Angel Network. "The Central Texas Entrepreneur Funding Symposium promises to be the premier event, educating entrepreneurs about the steps needed to raise capital and grow their businesses."

"Austin is one of the most entrepreneurial cities in the country," said Jason Myers, Publisher of Business District Magazine. "Our editorial mission is to foster this entrepreneurial spirit and to provide tools and support to local business owners to help them grow their business. Our Funding Symposium is a natural progression of our product offerings, because it provides an excellent platform for investors to educate entrepreneurs on the funding process."

At the event, business owners will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers about shared experiences in fund raising and create key relationships to grow business in Central Texas.

More details -- including sponsor packages, exhibit details and on-line registration -- will be available at www.FundingSymposium.com
