Bradford Based Safestyle Scores For Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Safestyle UK provides support in a fundraising campaign to keep the Yorkshire Air Ambulance flying.

(PRWEB) July 20, 2007 -- Goals were high on the agenda as Safestyle, the UK's leading independent replacement window and door retailer, scored a real winner to support the campaign to keep the Yorkshire Air Ambulance flying.

Attending over 1000 incidents requiring emergency air assistance every year, the Air Ambulance faces a massive fundraising target of having to raise nearly £7,000 every day but I'm confident the people of Yorkshire, like us, will rise to the challenge and do their bit to ensure the service is readily available when required.

Yorkshire-based Safestyle UK fielded a strong five-a-side soccer team to compete in the annual charity event organised by solicitors, Gordons which raised more than £1000 for the flying ambulance fleet. A total of ten teams were invited to compete at the Kirkstall, Leeds five-a-side centre, Goals and Safestyle, led by its stars Dave Owen and Jason Lawford, fought its way through the rounds to finish runners-up to the Baker Tilley team.

John Ross, the Chief Executive of the Style Group, Safestyle's parent company, commented: "This was a great result because as a Group we have a strong corporate responsibility programme, where we remain committed to trying to help local charities while at the same time helping our staff to enjoy their employment. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance is an increasingly important and necessary part of the county's emergency services and so any help we can give is well worth while. Our team has been invited to return for the 2008 tournament and has high hopes of bringing the title to Bradford, the location of our head office."
