We all know that kids love stories, but due to the pace of modern day life, it can often be difficult to fit in time, with a recent survey showing that more than half of parents struggle to stay awake when reading to their own children at bedtime

I thoroughly enjoyed recording all of the stories and making up voices for the characters. The podcasts are a fantastic idea for families tight on time because now story time can take place anytime, anywhere - whether in the car on the way to school, or at home before bed.

We all know that kids love stories, but due to the pace of modern day life, it can often be difficult to fit in time, with a recent survey showing that more than half of parents struggle to stay awake when reading to their own children at bedtime*. That's why Munch Bunch® has teamed up with TV presenter and celebrity mum Gail Porter to bring the art of storytelling back into the 21st Century!

In September 2008 Munch Bunch® launched a nationwide competition to find the next JK Rowling and Roald Dahl. From the many stories entered a team of mini Munch Bunch® reviewers - who better to judge a good story than kids themselves! - chose their favourite six stories.

These six winning tales have been brought to life by Gail Porter and are now available as audio podcasts, which can be downloaded for free on the Munch Bunch® website.

The winning stories include 'Munch and the Missing Moo' by Julie Hanratty, 'Munch and the Disappearing Lettuce' by Michael Murphy, and 'Munch Visits the Moon' by Caroline Jones which Gail has brought to life as the voice of Munch Bunch's® newest character, Munch the Cow®.

Gail says: "I thoroughly enjoyed recording all of the stories and making up voices for the characters. The podcasts are a fantastic idea for families tight on time because now story time can take place anytime, anywhere - whether in the car on the way to school, or at home before bed."

A behind-the-scenes video of Gail creating the podcasts is available.

Now storytelling time is easy and fun again because families can listen to the podcasts for free and enjoy them wherever and whenever they want. Parents can download the six podcasts to share with their children by visiting munchbunch.co.uk
