Trivia Game Show App Designed for Family Fun Premieres for iPad, iPhone

The App House announced the launch of Confidence - The Game, a family-friendly trivia game delivered over the iPhone, iPad, and iTouch. Encouraged by the positive response from a major production studio, Tim Hart, of Vernon Hills, IL, partnered with The App House (makers of Simon Graham and the Extraordinary Timepiece) to bring the game's unique format to mobile devices. Tim Hart, of Vernon Hills, IL, conceived of Confidence - The Game as the next hit game show. Encouraged by a major production studio to turn the idea into a mobile app, Hart partnered with The App House to bring the game's unique, family-friendly trivia format to the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Confidence - The Game can be downloaded here.

Players can challenge each other in a head-to-head match-up on the same device, or they can play one of eight different computer opponents with distinct personalities and strengths, including John "Couch QB" Cooper, Rob the Movie Nut, a robot, and other surprise characters.

Available for free for a limited time by downloading here from the iTunes App Store. The free version contains more than 600 questions across 90 categories.

Upgrade to the full version, which features 2,600 questions and more than 250 categories, via In-App Purchase of Question Packs (three packs are available for $1.99 each, or save 50% by paying $2.99 to buy them all).

In-App Purchases will also unlock five surprise computer opponents.

Players "rank their confidence" based on how well they know certain trivia categories, assigning the highest point values to categories in which they have the most confidence.

Each game consists of three rounds. The winner is the player with the highest score at the end of the third round.

The first two rounds have seven questions each, and third and final round, "Final Confidence," serves players a single wild-card question where they can wager as many points as they have earned during the game.

More than 60 independent achievements are tracked as you progress, ranging from the Boy Scout award (10 geography questions correctly answered) to the Scrooge McDuck award, obtained from scoring 7,500 career points.

An update will be published in early May, which will introduce a multiplayer network to allow players to face-off remotely.

Players can select from 1 of 4 difficulty settings: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Expert level.
