We've got quite a bit of commentary packed into this episode

Bellingham, WA (PRWEB) April 22, 2008 -- In Gamespeek Episode 81, Lauren debuts with her new weekly segment, "Lauren's Hot Minute" where she gets to talk about whatever videogame-related topic she wants to for a minute. Chris and Aaron discuss the revitalization of Sonic the Hedgehog with two promising upcoming releases; Sonic Chronicles (DS) and Sonic Unleashed (PS2, PS3, Wii, 360). Chris goes over the new Rock Band downloads of the last two weeks and Lauren discusses a few new upcoming games on the DS and PSP, with her segment "Potent Portables."

"We've got quite a bit of commentary packed into this episode," said Gamespeek Co-Host Lauren Miller. "With the introduction of my new segment 'Lauren's Hot Minute' I hope we can infuse more of our opinions and interests on the industry we love."

Keeping with a similar format the show features Gamespeek's signature segment 'Juicy Tidbits of Fun' aka JToFs (Jay-tawfs). This week's JToFs feature two weeks of Rock Band DLC and news on upcoming portable games.

Other news topics include:
Potent Portables: News for the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP
Sonic the Hedgehogs new ventures
What We've Been Playing

"I think we have interesting chemistry as a group and the video format will allow us to really show off who we are," said Gamespeek Co-Host Aaron Apple. "And the 10-minute length is much more appealing than the 40 minute old shows, especially to busy gamers these days."

Intro music for this episode is provided by Derecho and their song Sonic Boom.
