(NYSE: GCI) has selected the weather solutions company as its vendor-of-choice for weathercast HD format enhancements in 17 of Gannett’s 19 markets. In addition, Gannett is launching WSI’s WeatherActive interactive mapping solution on its stations' locally-branded web sites.

Gannett’s Broadcasting Division includes 23 TV stations including: three ABC affiliates, six CBS affiliates, 12 NBC affiliates and two My Network stations. Altogether, they reach 21 million households and cover 18.2 percent of the U.S. population.
