Wickman Agency Kicks Off Charity Program in Garland, TX by Initiating Campaign in Support of Local Tornado Victim

The Wickman Agency has launched a local charity program in the Garland, TX area, engaging the support of the agency’s network of clients and business partners in benefitting the local community. Its first campaign will raise funds to help Debra, a local woman whose home was devastated in a recent tornado.

The Wickman Agency in Garland, TX has announced the commencement of a master charity program created to assist the local community. Pledging to select a new beneficiary every 60 days, the agency will work closely with community leaders and nonprofit organizations in the area. Their goal is to bring community awareness to important local causes by forming campaigns which aid-worthy individuals, families or programs with fundraising and other support.

To debut the new community involvement program, Diana Wickman, the agency’s principal, has chosen to introduce a local woman who is dealing with the daily challenges of life after her home was impacted by a recent tornado. Debra is a single mother who lost her husband to cancer four years ago. As the sole support of her household, tough financial times caused Debra to allow her homeowners insurance to lapse. Therefore, when the tornado hit, destroying the roof and chimney of her home, Debra had no way to rebuild – meaning that the family is living in an unsafe environment.

“We understand just how important it is to help the people of our community in any way we can,” said Diana Wickman, owner of Wickman Agency, “and hope to pull the community together in support of those who need it most. Each featured campaign will have a donations page with a fully detailed story, spotlighting the current cause. The Wickman Agency will also spread the word through its own database of thousands of customers, business partners, staff, neighbors and friends.
