BPM Leader to Discuss Why Business "Buy-In" Is Critical For Process Improvement Success

Lombardi®, a leader in business process management (BPM) software, today announced that its President, Phil Gilbert, will be presenting at a Networking Lunch as part of the Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2009. Lombardi is a sponsor of the four-day event, which will be held on 2 - 5 November, 2009 at the Palais Des Festivals in Cannes, France.

Gartner Symposium/ITxpo 2009 is the industry's largest and most important annual gathering of CIOs and senior IT executives. The theme of this year's program will focus on how business technology can help companies return to growth by balancing cost optimization and risk mitigation.

The networking lunch takes place on 4th November from 13.15 - 14.30 (local time) at the Majestic Hotel - Salon Dinard, Cannes. The two-part presentation, entitled "Putting Business First in Process Improvement," includes an introduction and market overview from Janelle Hill, Gartner's Research VP for Business Process Management. Mr. Gilbert will then discuss why it is critical to get "buy-in" from the business to drive BPM, the role business and technical individuals really play in BPM and how financial outcomes can be maximized via a "business first" approach towards development.
