GTC, with its Longevity™ program, alleviates the sense of urgency to upgrade that can result from an OEM’s discontinuance of support for a control system, providing years of time to decide without compromising equipment availability and reliability.
Ardsley, NY (PRWEB) January 28, 2015
Gas Turbine Controls (GTC), a leader in the circuit board and components market for the gas and steam turbine industries, is scheduled to exhibit at the 15th Annual Platts Caribbean Energy Conference to be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico on January 29-30, 2015.
Attending the conference to represent GTC will be Abel Rochwarger, Business Development Manager, and Lisa Delliacono, Director of Marketing, who are active participants in the company’s marketing efforts to reach new customers and enhance its relationship with existing ones.
GTC’s representatives will be promoting the company’s Longevity™ program, among other offerings of relevance to turbine operators in the Caribbean region, many of whom will be in attendance at the conference.
GTC has been an active participant in the Caribbean Energy Industry for many years, providing its products and services to power generation companies throughout many of the island nations—including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands—where demand for energy is ever-increasing and the equipment continues to age.
According to Mr. Rochwarger, global operations and budgets—largely as a result of the 2008 crisis and its aftershocks—are increasingly reluctant to yield to OEM’s pressure to upgrade control systems affected by the “Planned Obsolescence” perspective created through the “End-of-Life” letters.
With its innovative Longevity™ program—a dedicated Contractual Coverage Program or CCP—GTC offers a groundbreaking change in paradigm: The Longevity™ CCP effectively shifts the management of the strategy and timing of the control system upgrade from the OEM to the user.
“GTC, with its Longevity™ program, alleviates the sense of urgency to upgrade that can result from an OEM’s discontinuance of support for a control system, providing years of time to decide without compromising equipment availability and reliability,” added Mr. Rochwarger.
GTC looks forward to exhibiting at the conference and the opportunity it provides to meet with attending turbine operators who are actively seeking out leading service providers.
This edition of Platts Caribbean Energy Conference will address topics of relevance to companies like GTC, which provide a valuable service to power generation companies and governments throughout the Caribbean region.
Among the scheduled discussions at the conference will be: sector reform, fuel choices and challenges, alternative power sources, and enabling project development—all topics of interest to GTC as it aims at growing its influence in the Caribbean’s thriving energy markets.
Platts Caribbean Energy Conference will be held at the El San Juan Resort and Casino in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
