Telluride Gay Ski Week Announces Dates for 2007

The Town of Mountain Village announced today the dates and schedule of events for its Fourth Annual Telluride Gay Ski Week. Telluride Gay Ski Week 2007 will take place from Sunday, February 24, 2007 to Sunday, March 4, 2007. Since its first year in 2004, Telluride Gay Ski Week has played host to thousands of guests from the local community to as far away as New York, Dallas, and Hawaii. Net proceeds from the event support local 501(c)(3) organization, the Telluride AIDS Benefit, a grass roots organization committed to raising awareness in local communities about the global pandemic of HIV/AIDS for more than twelve years.

The annual Telluride Gay Ski Week (TGSW) is a unique vacation experience that stands apart from other gay ski functions. Designed as an alternative to other gay ski events, TGSW combines a unique blend of top-rate skiing and unpretentious activities with spirited but laid-back charm of a European-style ski town. Guests will enjoy the 92-acre pedestrian centre of Mountain Village that encompasses an array of recreational facilities, restaurants, hotels and shops offering a unique selection of jewelry, furnishings, apparel and antiques.

Telluride Gay Ski Week 2007 boasts a full schedule of events in addition to its acclaimed skiing. This year’s event will open on Sunday February 4th with its annual signature event, OSCAR NIGHT®, an Academy Awards watching party. Also returning will be two widely popular events, the “White Night Powder Party” and the “Blue Ball Pool Party.” Plans for a number of additional activities as well as après’ ski events are currently underway and will be announced on the official Telluride Gay Ski Week website (http://www.telluridegayskiweek.com) as they are confirmed.
