The neighbor's wall was one foot from the new building
Seaside, CA (Vocus) November 22, 2010
Hallmark Construction has completed construction of a new O’Reilly Auto Parts store located at 1720 Fremont Boulevard in Seaside, California. The project included construction of a brand-new 8,000SF facility, the surrounding parking area, and landscape improvements.
Hallmark Construction was tasked with completing the project without interrupting the business operations of the site’s neighbors. “The neighbor’s wall was one foot from the new building,” said Hallmark’s project manager, Pat Taggart. “We phased our construction plan and coordinated our subcontractors and suppliers to avoid any disruptions to the other businesses,” he added. Hallmark is renowned for successfully completing projects without disrupting on-going and often critical business operations.
Hallmark’s thorough planning before breaking ground on the new store, and subsequent execution in the field helped minimize obstacles over the duration of the six month project. “When encountering some difficulties on the project, Hallmark responded very well,” said the building’s owner, Joe Byrne. “I felt very comfortable and completely confident with Hallmark’s team,” Joe continued.
Taggart credits the project’s success to “a real team approach and a great relationship with the building’s owner as well as the architect.” The project’s architect, Wald, Ruhnke & Dost is the largest architectural firm in Monterey County. For nearly three decades, Hallmark has partnered with clients and designers to deliver timely and quality projects. The strength of Hallmark’s team and the relationships it has built with its partners ensures the company will be delivering exemplary value for a long time to come.
