We've enabled social sharing in a way that allows marketers to track the effectiveness of the sharing that's occurring.
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) April 20, 2010
Genoo customers can now incorporate social media capabilities into websites, microsites, and emails, and track those leads who share their information. Genoo also lets marketers see how effective the sharing is – providing a way to track the impact of social media on marketing efforts.
For example, marketers could include a “share this on Facebook” button on any web page run by Genoo and then see how many leads opted to share the content, plus how many new visitors come to the site from those links, and which sign up for future contact. This means it's now possible to distinguish the most influential leads, and see the leads they generate.
An integrated suite of online marketing tools, Genoo allows marketers to put together and implement marketing campaigns, websites, microsites and landing pages. These marketing tools engage leads and prospects in new ways, while tracking the results of that engagement and leaving marketers in the know about how the social aspects of the campaign are working.
The array of social media options now available on the Genoo platform include:
- Site Follow – set and display how visitors can follow your organization's social media profiles for both website and emails.
- Page Sharing – enable visitors to share website pages and emails with others via social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Digg, Delicious, etc. In addition, users can track how many of these shares drove traffic back to their sites.
- RSS Feeds – create them for Genoo microsites. Determine which pages are included in the feed, giving leads and visitors options for how to keep in touch with your organization.
- Page Comments – identify which pages are open for comments and manage the comments left by site visitors.
Genoo’s President Kim Albee explains, “Many companies are using social media in their marketing strategies, but there really isn’t a good way to track how that social media participation is contributing to the success of your campaigns. At Genoo, we’ve enabled social media in a way that allows you to track those leads who are sharing your information with others. We’ve all got leads who are not qualified in the sense that we’re not going to close them as customers, but they, like us, are engaged in what we’re doing, and they’re sharing it with others. With these new capabilities, you’ll know not only which leads are sharing your content, you’ll know who the most influential leads are, by knowing how many people are clicking through the URLs that they’re sharing. You’ll know how many of those who click through also complete a lead capture form on your site.”
In addition to the features above, Genoo customers can set up RSS feeds to publish to website or to emails. This means it's now possible to use an RSS feed from a website or blog to populate an email newsletter.
Genoo also elevates the comments capability so marketers can include participation by leads in their engagement metrics – creating an entirely new way sites can build and manage engagement with their target market. Understanding more about what engages leads allows marketers to add value by following up with relevant emails and content that maps to their interest. Getting leads to participate with website and email content can be vital to creating the kind of traffic and stickiness necessary to boost marketing results!
Genoo is committed to helping and enabling SMB marketers to compete more effectively. Key to competing effectively is the ability to measure the success of marketing efforts and understand how leads are responding to your marketing; Genoo has extended tracking that can identify which leads are sharing content, or submitting comments on your pages.
Genoo's marketing automation toolkit puts marketers in control of their marketing campaigns – no IT or web-dev help needed. That’s our mission and what our customers count on us for. "With this upgrade we have expanded the ability for marketers to include (and measure) social media aspects in their campaigns," says Albee, "It's a whole new take on social! One you can leverage in meaningful ways, just add imagination and creativity."
