Not only will this be a powerful marketing tool for each individual chamber member, it is a huge marketing opportunity for the chamber itself, bringing both the chamber and its members affordable, sustainable and accountable marketing solutions.
Albany, NY (PRWEB) October 27, 2010
Albany.com and the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce announce a new partnership. The two will join in a venture to give all chamber members an added member benefit and get more local businesses found by the public through a more complete and user-friendly directory.
Albany.com offers information on the entire Capital Region of Upstate, New York, including Albany events, news, interviews, movies, things to do, contests and more while also providing area businesses with a local advertising platform. Now Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber members will tap into this audience of 200,000+ monthly visits to Albany.com by locals and visitors to the area with free featured directory listings.
All businesses who are members of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber now have the opportunity to market their business with a free listing on Albany.com, with options for additional upgrades. These businesses will be located in the online business directory under both the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber section as well as within their own niche business categories to make it easy for site visitors to find them. A co-branded directory of Albany businesses means the chamber itself will also now have their brand exposed to this vast audience.
“Not only will this be a powerful marketing tool for each individual chamber member, it is a huge marketing opportunity for the chamber itself, bringing both the chamber and its members affordable, sustainable and accountable marketing solutions,” said Sara Mannix, Founder and CEO of Mannix Marketing, Inc. — the internet marketing company that owns Albany.com.
All businesses with standard chamber memberships will receive a free, silver level listing on Albany.com, which was designed exclusively for chamber members. This will include their business name, address, phone number and interactive Google Map to help patrons locate their business.
All businesses that have “Business Builder” memberships with the chamber will receive a free, gold level listing on Albany.com, with a media-rich micro-site. A micro-site is a dedicated page for each business, featuring unlimited text describing their business, photo slideshow, contact information, web link, pdf brochures, video and more. All chamber members will also have the ability to add upcoming events at their venue, special deals and press releases, which are then distributed through RSS. Businesses can also manage and edit their own directory listing content 24/7 with a simple, easy-to-use login.
In addition to the free directory listing options for Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber members on Albany.com, there will also be upgrades to the chamber’s website directory under this new partnership. These upgrades involve using the Albany.com directory model to improve the ease of use with their own online directory.
“In teaming up with Albany.com, we now have a unique opportunity to help boost the Capital Region economy through jointly promoting the local businesses to a broader and more diverse market,” said Mark Eagan, President and CEO of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce.
