London (PRWEB UK) 28 June 2012

Arle Capital Partners today announces that its Chairman, Sir George Buckley, will be joining the Board of portfolio company Technogym as a Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Technogym is the official supplier of fitness equipment to the London 2012 Olympic games, the fifth time they have been chosen as Olympic suppliers. Technogym was established in 1983 by Nerio Alessandri and sells wellness products and services across the world. In addition to the Olympic athletes village, Technogym is also supplying equipment to the 28 Olympic disciplines.

Sir George Buckley will assist the Technogym management team with strategic matters, drawing on his global industrial experience and flair for promoting innovation in companies under his stewardship. While Chairman and CEO of the Brunswick Corporation, Sir George oversaw a number of fitness technology businesses and remains closely involved in the industry.

Arle Capital Partners’ active management philosophy is to bring the best leaders from industry into the private equity environment to provide growth and performance gains for investors. Sir George’s appointment reinforces the team which already includes Fredrik Arp, an Arle partner and Chairman of Arle’s Operating Review Board, who has been a member of the Technogym Board for the past three years.

Commenting on the appointment, Javier Abad, Investment Partner at Arle said:

“Sir George is the right man to get Technogym across the finish line first. At Arle we bring together world class industrialists with tried and tested investment professionals. Sir George brings with him decades of invaluable business experience at the helm of some of the best known global brands.

He’s a true success story which the Arle portfolio companies can draw on as they develop their businesses growth strategies. Technogym is already the best and we want to extend its lead in the sector. With Founder & Chairman Nerio Alessandri, Sir George and Fredrik Arp, we have the gold medal team to do that.”
