Austin Oral Surgery donated $20,000 to the Capital Area Dental Foundation on Feb. 16 to establish an endowment fund, the Austin Oral Surgery Legacy Fund.

The fund will establish an ongoing revenue source for charitable dental care in the Austin, Texas area. The Austin Oral Surgery Legacy Fund was established with the vision of providing community dental care for future generations, according to the president of the Capital Area Dental Foundation, Dr. Kavin Kelp.

“We’re proud to be able to establish this endowment in such a bold way,” said Dr. William C. Cain, a Georgetown oral surgeon with Austin Oral Surgery. “Caring for people in our community is part of our profession and something we believe is very important. The Austin Oral Surgery Legacy Fund will enable the Capital Area Dental Foundation to provide dental care to people who need it for generations.”

This donation will qualify the Capital Area Dental Foundation to receive an additional $5,000 from the Austin Community Foundation for the endowment.
