Pass Christian, Miss. - Author George White recalls his wife’s health scare and how faith, family and friends helped show him that miracles can happen in his inspirational new memoir, “Susan: The Story of a Miracle” (published by iUniverse).

In January 2012, White’s wife, Susan, awoke one night to a terrible stomach pain and was rushed to the emergency room. Doctors informed the couple that Susan had gallstones trapped in her bile duct. In just a matter of hours, she went from a vibrant, healthy woman to a hospital patient struggling to survive.

So began the White’s rollercoaster journey, one chronicled in “Susan: The Story of a Miracle.” Susan contracted pancreatitis and began to suffer from serious complications. As she slowly recovered, White was able to document an experience that gives a glimpse into difficult times and how comforting the love and generosity of friends and family can be.
