Humankind Water, founded in Philadelphia to bring clean water to children dying without it, is one of only 10 products to advance to the finals of Walmart’s On the Shelf Contest.
”Of all the top 10 contenders in the contest, Humankind Water is the only product that will help save lives,”explains Humankind president T.J. Foltz. With every bottle of Humankind Water sold, the organization will donate 100% of its net profits to the water crisis.
Since March, Humankind supporters have campaigned to bring the bottled water to Walmart shelves.” We are very grateful to all who voted for Humankind Water in the Walmart contest, and ask that they continue to lend their support by voting again in the contest’s final round,” Foltz says. Through proceeds of its product, Humankind Water helps to dig wells and install filtration systems and rain catchment systems where in areas where people are literally dying for lack of clean water. According to the Humankind Water organization, one person in seven has no access to clean water, including approximately 10,000 children who die each day for lack of it.
Just $10 a day will provide drinking water for one person for a lifetime.
Humankind water has a charitable foundation through which it receives donations. It also appeals to schools, churches, workplaces and other organizations to use Humankind Water for fundraisers.
