The Home Depot will be presented with the award at an invitation-only gala in Chicago the evening of March 11 during the Show. In addition, the winners of 23 country-specific gia programs will be honored at the same gala for their achievements.
The Home Depot was voted gia World honoree by a distinguished panel of global retail experts on the basis of its superior operations performance, business innovation, product breadth and contributions to the communities in which it does business. The gia World jury includes representatives from Euromonitor International, Accenture, The Fashion Institute of Technology (New York), The Retail Element and a leading independent retail consultancy. gia World is co-sponsored by IHA and Euromonitor International, the world's leading provider of retail business intelligence and strategic market analysis.
