The PEEK Travel case is the natural next step in showing our customers that we can make something out of this excess material that can be used every day, while also reducing our carbon footprint all at the same time.

Gili Bags continues to expand it’s collection of sustainable bags to include smaller products made out of the materials that would normally have been thrown out. The company will now include Dopp kits, available in stores and on the web.
“Our main goal is to raise awareness and work towards a sustainable future", Gili’s founder and Founder, Derek Redd, said. “The PEEK Travel case is the natural next step in showing our customers that we can make something out of this excess material that can be used every day, while reducing our carbon footprint all at the same time.”
The entire Gili Bag product line includes gear bags of various sizes, a beach bag, regulator bags as well as accessories and apparel. The company is committed to only using upcycled materials, a term that refers to a product that not only utilizes recycled material but indicates that material’s second life is even more valuable than its first.
Every product produced by Gili has a second life in the form of the products that are used every day by scuba divers, skiers, snowboarders, beach bums and adventure seekers around the world. The new PEEK Travel bags make the products accessible to everyone, and useful for a much larger audience with a variety of needs.
“We knew we’d struck on something special when the first Kickstarter passed its original goal of $25,000,” Redd said, referring to the $28,125 Gili Bags collected in the 30 day campaign. “Our bags make a statement about sustainable fashion. It says, I care about our world, and we mean that.”
Gili is a global brand with products currently available via http://www.giligear.com or in stores in Japan, UAE, Mexico, Indonesia and in the Florida Keys. The word “gili” means Island in Indonesian which is fitting, given this is where the idea for this brand began and how many uses the entire line of products has on the beach somewhere in Indonesia or anywhere else an adventurer might want to go.
The new campaign is live on Kickstarter until May 14th, so check is out and support Gili's efforts toward building a sustainable future.
