Children’s Hospitals Launch Personalized Greeting Cards to Maximize Fundraising

In an effort to make the most of their fundraising efforts, five Children’s Hospitals across the United States and Canada have partnered with Giving Matters, an online customized greeting card program that helps charitable organizations raise awareness and funds for their cause.

Through Giving Matters, organizations are provided with a branded website that allows donors, businesses and individuals to create, proof, and order personalized greeting cards online, while all proceeds are funnelled back to the foundation.

“Corporations spend billions of dollars on greeting cards every year, so it makes sense for hospital foundations and other charitable organizations to capitalize on what can only be described as an extraordinarily lucrative fundraising effort” says Peter Field, Director of Giving Matters.

Each customized Giving Matters site features attractive, high quality cards that have either been professional designed or created by the young patients in these hospitals.

To date, four hospitals in the US have launched greeting card programs through Giving Matters: Seattle Children’s Hospital Foundation; Sacred Heart Foundation; Bakersfield Memorial Hospital Foundation; and Miami Children’s Hospital. In Canada, the Auxiliary to the BC Children's Hospital has successfully launched the program.
