The "best of the best" was inspiring. I know we all strive each day to be at the top of our game when dealing with customers and each other, but seeing the "best of the best" was humbling" said Michael Barry CEO, Glass America.

Glass America Auto Glass Technicians are certified and trained to the highest safety standards of the Auto Glass Industry. Glass America technicians recently competed for the highest standard and to reach for the gold at the “Best of the Best” Auto Glass Technician Olympics.

On June 28th, 2012 Atlanta, Georgia, was host to Glass America’s regional finalists for this year’s dynamic competition. The six regional finalists were judged by impartial industry experts from Sika Adhesives. Technicians were awarded points for strict adherence to AGRSS (Auto Glass Replacement Safety Standard), the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Certified standard for auto glass replacement. Technicians were also awarded points on the quality of the windshield installation and providing excellent customer service.

The general public is not always aware of how important your windshield is to your safety, an improper installation can cause grave injury to passengers involved in a car accident. These contests are part of Glass America’s continuing education of their technicians and preparation for the 7th Annual Pilkington Clear Advantage Auto Glass National Competition in Louisville, Kentucky, September 20-22 as part of Auto Glass Week.

Glass America would like to congratulate all regional finalists for participating in the “Best of the Best” Auto Glass Technician Olympics. Our top 3 finishers for this year’s competition:
