Glebar Company, Inc., “Glebar” or the “Company”, a manufacturer of highly automated precision grinding machines for use across a breadth of industries and end-use applications, has announced the appointment of its new Executive Management Team and the launch of its revamped website, http://www.glebar.com.
John Bannayan and Robert Gleason, both with the Company for over 20 years, will remain as Executive Vice President & General Manager and Vice President & Head of Engineering, respectively. Adam S. Cook has succeeded Frederick Schumacher as President. Mr. Schumacher will sit on the Company’s Board of Directors.

Adam holds a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. Before joining Glebar in April of 2013, he advised companies, including industrial and manufacturing businesses, on many fronts. Most recently, he was the Head of Investment Banking for Phoenix Capital Resources, a national boutique focused on middle market mergers and acquisitions and private placement transactions. Adam is also recognized in the investment banking arena as a valuation and capital markets expert, has been published on many occasions and has spoken at conferences and seminars on many occassions. He is an active member of the Association of Corporate Growth, and in 2012 was awarded the distinguished 40 Under 40 Award by the M&A Advisor.
John holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a BA in Computer Science from Pacific Lutheran University. John is instrumental in driving Glebars product development efforts. He has earned several patents over the years relating to automation and machine control. With over 25 years with the company, he was integral in reconfiguring the company’s internal business processes early on and has held several management positions ranging from planning, financial controls, operations and has been GM since 2001.
Robert holds a BS degree in Industrial Technology from Ohio University, and has been with Glebar for over 30 years. He was an integral part of acquiring and implementing the first CNC machine in the machine shop and also pushed to get Engineering off the drawing board and onto CAD in the early 1980’s. Robert holds several patents related to innovations in medical material handling and grinding.
