Udi’s Launches 5 New Healthy, Gluten-Free Food Products

Following the launch of five new healthy gluten-free products this week by Udi’s Healthy Foods, Massage School San Diego has released a list of the best brands for natural and vegan foods, in hopes of encouraging growth of the healthy eating movement.

Udi’s Healthy Foods announced the launch of five new gluten-free products this week. In response, Massage School San Diego, promoter of healthy living and massage therapy schools in San Diego, has released a list of the best brands of gluten-free, organic and vegan foods, in hopes of encouraging growth of the healthy eating movement.

Udi’s Healthy Foods, a gluten-free bread company owned by Smart Balance, launched five new gluten-free food products this week according to Cafe Society. The new items included: Plain Tortillas, flour-style; Everything Inside Bagels with poppy seeds, onion, garlic, flax seeds and more; Harvest Crunch Muffins with quinoa, cranberry, sweet potato and pepitas; Mighty Bagels with sunflower seeds, quinoa, cranberry and pepitas; and Double Vanilla Muffins with vanilla filling. Udi’s launched the new items at the Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore.

In response to Udi’s newest products, Massage School San Diego has released a list of the best brands for organic, gluten-free and vegan foods:

Udi’s Healthy Foods started as a chain of bakeries and cafes in Colorado in the early 1990s. In 2008, the company began baking gluten-free bread. By 2009, Udi’s products were on the shelves of local Whole Foods and King Soopers grocery stores. The company was bought by Smart Balance in 2012. Udi’s line of products includes: hamburger and hotdog buns, muffins, pizza crust, cookie dough, bagels, sliced bread, brownies, rolls, French baguettes and granola.

Smart Balance provides healthy food products such as margarine substitutes, milk, cooking spray, mayonnaise, peanut butter, eggs, cooking oils, and microwaveable popcorn. These items have no trans fat and no partially hydrogenated vegetable oils. Smart Balance bought Udi’s Healthy Foods for $125 in early summer 2012.

Natural Products Expo East is an annual tradeshow that takes place in Baltimore, Maryland. It showcases natural, organic and healthy products, and provides information and networking opportunities for those in the natural or organic industry. Natural Products Expo East is listed by Tradeshow Week as one of the top 200 shows in the country. This year, it was held at the Baltimore Convention Center on Sept. 19-22.

Following the launch of five new gluten-free products by Udi’s Healthy Foods, Massage School San Diego has released a list noting the best brands of organic, gluten-free and vegan foods, with aims to promote and encourage growth of the healthy eating movement.
