Global Net Access GNAX, a leading healthcare technology infrastructure service provider was appointed as a VMware Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) for Healthcare Technology. This partnership further establishes GNAX as a healthcare technology leader. GNAX will introduce its free Health Information Exchange in the VMware theatre booth 4079 at HIMSS11 on Monday, February 21st at 4:00 PM.

"We are excited to be part of the TAP program," said Mariano Maluf, GNAX Chief Technology Officer. "This adds validity to our role as a leading healthcare technology service provider and to VMware’s vCloud Director platform as a powerful tool for all healthcare technologies."

GNAX is one of the first to deploy a commercial healthcare application on a VMware vCloud Director solution. The recently announced GNAX Free HIE currently runs on the vCloud Director platform. The GNAX HIE allows healthcare providers across the country to exchange information quickly in a secure environment for free. The GNAX Free HIE will eliminate many costs associated with exchanging healthcare records, including faxing, mailing and other more costly exchange technologies. GNAX uses the vCloud Director platform to help ensure reliability, security and scalability for the HIE.

"VMware is the standard in enterprise-level virtualization technology," commented Jeff Hinkle, GNAX Chief Operating Officer. "Healthcare companies need stability, reliability and security, and GNAX delivers all of that and VMware is a key component. Our free HIE runs on it and we can help healthcare providers offload many of their secondary applications to the VMware-based cloud as well, improving application performance while lowering costs."

GNAX will be demonstrating its free HIE at HIMSS11 booth #4086 as well as in the VMware theatre booth 4079 on Monday, February 21st at 4:00 PM. Learn more at http://www.gnax.net/healthcare.
