GoalLine Solutions, a Customer Experience Management solution provider and developer of management tools for employee performance, recently achieved compliance with Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 Type 2. The SSAE 16 audit is designed to assess and classify a service organization’s capacity for data security according to a series of widely accepted criteria.

After an organization passes the scrutiny of a certified public accountant, customers can be confident that the organization has fulfilled its stated control measures for areas such as transaction processing, data backup and network security, among others. Alignment with SSAE 16, the successor to SAS70 (Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70), signals that an independent third-party source has thoroughly examined management’s control objectives – a process detailed in a SOC 1 report.

It recently enlisted the services of Auditwerx, an auditor specializing in SSAE 16, to vet its information technology and application development environment, while looking closely at the security guarding client companies’ transactions.

Following the audit, Auditwerx generated a report citing GoalLine’s compliance with SSAE 16 Type 2 standards for the period October 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013. The audit addressed GoalLine’s controls in light of the potential impact of those controls on a client company’s financial reporting, and indicated no deviation from, or failure to fulfill, stated controls.
