Primepoint, a payroll and HR technology company, awarded an iPod Touch to Kirk Leblanc, an employee of Nottingham Insurance, Inc. Awarding the iPod touch was done to emphasize how Primepoint's advanced technology makes mobile computing a reality from a hand-held device like an iPod Touch or an iPhone. Primepoint's technology also enables companies to Go-Green & become truly paperless with their payroll. Primepoint has several "web-based, real-time" systems for payroll processing and HR needs, which include an Employee Direct Access web portal for individuals to access their payroll data in a secure Web environment. "Our technology enables both the business and its employees to use any web enabled computer to access any information they need electronically, therefore saving the resources and energy required to print and distribute payroll reports or direct deposit vouchers when a customer chooses to Go-Green. Employees can even use an Apple iPod Touch or Apple iPhone." Said Alex Bothwell, Primepoint's CEO.

Kirk Leblanc was selected to receive the iPod Touch because his employer, Nottingham Insurance, is one of Primepoint's Go-Green customers and Kirk is a regular user of the Employee Direct Access web portal.

When a Primepoint customer chooses the paperless payroll option it can have a meaningful impact towards reducing the amount of resources used in that business. A small company (about 15 employees) paying bi-weekly would save over 600 sheets of paper per year, all the toner to print those sheets of paper, and eliminate the need to deliver that paper every other week, saving gasoline, as well as the delivery fee. As the size of the company grows, the savings of paper and toner grows proportionally. And the savings of resources and delivery expenses doubles for the company that pays weekly.
