GoGrid, a leading cloud infrastructure company, today announced its Private Cloud infrastructure solution is powering a new network management application for Orange™ Business Services, the France Telecom-Orange branch dedicated specifically to business-to-business services. After an extensive decision-making process, Orange Business Services determined that GoGrid's Private Cloud offered the necessary flexibility, speed, and customization to best support the new version of its Customized Infrastructure Care (CIC) solution. Orange Business Services relies on the CIC solution to remotely monitor every component of a customer's communication infrastructure, using a management console that provides real-time tracking to facilitate speedy corrective action. In using GoGrid's Private Cloud infrastructure for its CIC solution, Orange Business Services is winning new customers, reducing time-to-market from months to weeks, and dramatically curtailing overall costs.

By bringing CIC to market with GoGrid, Orange Business Services saved significantly on overall project costs—both in terms of development and hardware expenditures—with actual results exceeding original estimates. Most important, it was able to spend less time building out infrastructure and more time developing value-add features and services that result in better solutions for customers over the long term.

GoGrid's Private Cloud technology and the Orange global Business VPN network create the backbone of the CIC solution. Orange Business Services leverages GoGrid Server Image technology (GSIs) to save application stacks across all GoGrid accounts and quickly deploy new services with these pre-built images—a process that dramatically shortens provisioning time. GoGrid lets Orange Business Services' customers monitor and scale their CIC services on-demand, a capability not possible with the previous architecture. GoGrid's flexibility and speed also help win new CIC customers because the Orange Business Services' sales team can literally deliver a try-and-buy solution within minutes, often during a sales meeting.

Orange Business Services had an ambitious goal in mind for this project: build CIC to meet the needs of its most complex customers. The team determined a flexible cloud infrastructure was the best approach, and a vendor that could customize the solution to meet specific requirements was critical to the project's success. Although they considered building the new solution entirely in-house, in the end, speed and flexibility were the reasons they decided to partner with GoGrid. The entire project, from inception to completion, took only 3 months.
