Economic historian, Brian Domitrovic, Ph.D., has recently been appointed as an advisor for The Gold Standard Now.org.

Brian Domitrovic is one of America’s outstanding economic historians. His “Econoclasts” is the best book on Reagan supply-side economics.

Brian Domitrovic, Ph.D. has been appointed as an advisor to TheGoldStandardNow.org, a project of The Lehrman Institute. Institute founder and chairman Lewis E. Lehrman said: “Brian Domitrovic is one of America’s outstanding economic historians. His “Econoclasts” is the best book on Reagan supply-side economics. He is an expert on the gold standard.”

TheGoldStandardNow.org is a website that provides information about the classical gold standard. The site provides key writings, historical information, breaking news, featured articles from the world media and frequently updated original content.

Brian Domitrovic holds a Ph.D. in history from Harvard University, where he also did graduate work in the economics department. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Columbia University, studying history and mathematics. An assistant professor at Sam Houston State University, he has written for numerous scholarly and popular publications, including a weekly column in Forbes.com. He is the author of Econoclasts: the Rebels Who Sparked the Supply-Side Revolution and Restored American Prosperity.

In a recent post on TheGoldStandardNow.org Prof. Domitrovic stated “When the US was closest to being on a full gold standard, (it was) the greatest decade of real economic growth in the nation’s history.”

Other advisors to TheGoldStandardNow.org are James Grant, author of multiple books on finance and financial history including his latest, Mr. Market Miscalculates (Axios Press, 2008); Ralph J. Benko, author of many articles on the gold standard, most recently at The Washington Examiner, Forbes.com and Foxnews.com; John D. Mueller, Director of Economics and Ethics program at the Ethics and Public Policy Center; and author Jeffrey Bell, policy director of the American Principles Project.
