April is Autism Awareness Month and champion Golden Retriever breeder, Golden Meadows Kennel, will be donating one of their specially trained Golden Retriever puppies Golden Retriever puppies in the next 30 days in an effort to raise awareness about the disease and to lighten the load for those that suffer.
With a long history of working with special needs children, Golden Meadows Kennel is honored to be an advocate once again. Because their extraordinary puppies are trained from birth to be well-adjusted and nurturing with sweet temperaments, their Golden Retrievers are the ideal companion for a household with special needs.
“We have been fortunate enough to be able to work with several families whose children have been affected by Autism. We have placed several trained Golden Retrievers with these families to help their children cope with the day to day stresses and fears that accompany Autism.”
In the recent past, Golden Meadows Kennel donated a puppy to an autistic boy named Brad and his personal letter on their website is a beaming testament to the success of this outreach program. Since receiving the Golden Retriever puppy, Brad has made great strides in his social interaction and his general well-being – his words are proof that these unique puppies are a powerful tool in supplementing the disability.
By placing another specially trained puppy in another special home, Golden Meadows Kennel hopes to repeat this success story and aid autistic awareness as a result.
