Paul Fabra has been appointed as the Senior European Advisor to TheGoldStandardNow.org, a project of The Lehrman Institute. Institute founder and chairman Lewis E. As the premier financial writer of Le Monde, he was a most influential analyst of the great De Gaulle – Rueff monetary reforms of the 5th republic. He is the author of several books, his best-known work devoted to interpreting the free market theories and policies of David Ricardo (Capitalism versus Anti-capitalism: The Triumph of Ricardian over Marxist Political Economy). Paul Fabra is an economist and was the financial editor of Le Monde during the De Gaulle – Rueff restoration of the French franc. He was well respected by the entire De Gaulle government, especially by Jacques Rueff. Fabra’s coverage of De Gaulle’s great speech of 1965 on the gold standard was reported worldwide.
