Since its launch in February, Golfholidays.com has become the fastest growing golf breaks website in the world thanks to its unique proposition of offering online golf holiday bookings combined with over 3000 hotels and golf courses.

And now golfholidays.com is upping the ante with a larger choice of five-star and super deluxe properties around the world. “We’ve noticed more web visitors clicking on the superior resorts and our Sales Team reports similar demand from “over the phone” clients” says Anton Beard, Research Manager at golfholidays.com. “That’s good news because most of the recent resort openings are at the high end of the price bracket and it’s also easier to offer best-value when we’re selling relatively expensive properties”.

“It’s also the type of product with which we’re very comfortable as we’ve always been at the mid to high end of the market because we believe golfers are a discerning clientele and they won’t travel just to play on an average golf course or stay in a budget hotel” says Morgan Clarke, Managing Director.

These findings are backed up by recent reports from KPMG and Leading Hotels of the World with five-star properties enjoying higher room revenues and occupancy rates than in the last four years. “It’s probably a mix of new market, attractive new resorts and clients wanting to make very sure that they’re valuable leisure time is a success”, continues Morgan.

New and in-demand destinations include Mauritius, the Four Seasons Terre Blanche in South of France, Borgo Egnazia in the Puglia, Los Cabos in Mexico and the renovated Fancourt in South Africa.

“Of course luxury isn’t always about price –we’ve got three-star hotels with so much style and charm that even the most discerning client gives it 10/10. And with our Bond Street Golf programme, we’re very much aware that everyone places different value on the travel, hotel and golf…Some clients will spend fortunes on playing the inaccessible golf course but travel Economy and stay in a standard hotel. Others travel First Class and stay in a wonderful hotel only to want to save a few pounds on the green-fees. Variety and understanding of what is luxury to an individual is the key” continues Anton.

With 63 countries and thousands of resorts, golfholidays.com has fast become the encyclopaedia of golf holidays and, as well as offering holidays to its established GolfPlanet and French Golf Holidays clientele, is fast attracting new clients and will also offer white-label sites to several large general travel companies.
