MFried has made the process of finding the right combination of Gondola shelving easier with web pages to break down each step. Gondola shelving is a very complex product to buy or order, and MFried.com wanted to improve the process by breaking down the choices and providing more information on each type of shelving.

Since gondola shelving is a custom product with many different parts, it's a challenge for customers to order. To make it even more complicated, there are thousands of variations. MFried has created three landing pages so customers can specify the exact type of gondola shelving they are looking for.

The three new landing pages are divided up by types of gondola shelving: 2-sided gondola unit, goldola wall units, and gondola end caps. Gondola shelving is customizeable and comes in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Each is available in different heights, lengths and bases. The shelving can be ordered from two to four feed long and up to 120 inches high. A popular height is 72 inches high.

"Gondola shelving comes in four colors to complement your store or display and has many different accessories to create an attractive display for retail stores. Since each store has different dimensions the layout they need differs," said Michael Lebor, Director of Marketing at MFried.com.

Some stores have a run of 30 feet of gondola shelving with an end cap on each side. The middle sections are calculated to fit the needs of the store. "All gondolas are customized and our team of designers assist clients in choosing the best combination. New web pages help store owners get the information they need to design their store layout," said Michael Lebor, Director of Marketing at MFried.com.

A Gondola Unit is a display unit with two sides, and is designed for merchandising the center portion of a store. They are free standing units that are backed with sturdy (often galvanized steel) pegboard. These are often used in retail stores such as: auto, grocery, pet, convenience, health and beauty aides, liquor, sports, and computer stores. They also come with accessories that fit on the base unit for displaying different types of products.

Pegboard accessories are easy to plug in, change, and the different choices compliment each other. Some of the accessories available for gondola shelving at MFried.com include:

  • Gondola shelving - including glass shelves
  • Wall mount uprights
  • Gondola and peg baskets - to display bulk items
  • Peg hooks - ideal for displaying scarves, sunglasses, and hats
  • Merchandise hang tabs
  • Peg accessory displays - holds CDs, videos, and literature

Gondola shelving is a universal and ultra adaptable shelving system. It has pegboards with slots you slide the shelves or accessories into. They can also be used to hang baskets and hooks.
These types of shelves are functional, versatile, and easy to change around with their pegboard backs.

"Gondola shelving is used in most retail stores, such as convenience stores, pharmacies, and retail stores like Target and Walmart, to display their products. Most people don't notice the shelving, but the gondola shelving is the most popular shelving out there for any brick and mortar store, said Lebor. "Gondola shelving is very strong and can hold a lot of weight," he noted.

Gondola shelving can be shipped on same day that it is ordered (delivery), and M. Fried offers free local and same day shipping for order over $750. A team of store design layout specialists help clients design a store layout, free of charge.
