Bret Michaels Schedules ‘Rock of Love Bus’
Stop at Gonzales Thunder Rally to Shoot Footage for VH1 Show’s
Third Season
Poison Frontman Headlining Three-Day Texas Bike Rally and Rock
Festival in Gonzales, Texas, Oct. 10-12

Bret Michaels’ tour bus was already stopping
in South Central Texas Oct. 11 as headliner for Gonzales
Thunder Rally, a three-day rock festival and bike rally Oct.
10-12, but the Poison frontman just announced that he’s
also bringing along the VH1 production crew and rock ‘n’
roll ladies to shoot footage for “Rock
of Love Bus,” the third season of
the popular “Rock of Love”
reality show.
Gonzales Thunder Rally special guest Bret
Michaels takes the stage Saturday night at JB Wells Park in
historic Gonzales, east of San Antonio, south of Austin. Bret has picked
select stops on his VH1 Presents Rock
of Love Tour 2008 to shoot footage for the 2009 season,
which, unlike the other two seasons, has the women who are vying for his
affection accompany him on the road. Bret’s
new CD “Rock My World”
is in stores now.
“Poison has sold 25 million records and had
15 Top 40 singles. Bret Michaels is a bona fide rock star. We were
already super lucky to have Bret agree to headline our first-time event.
Now, to have him announce he’s shooting
footage for ‘Rock of Love,’

said Ben Pigott, Gonzales Thunder Rally brainchild and Electric Ocean
frontman. “The buzz surrounding Gonzales
Thunder Rally is palpable. We’ve put together
three days of music and activities, including a tattoo expo, that will
surely transform Gonzales and the region into a live music mecca.
Gonzales is central to Austin, San Antonio and Houston –
it’s a super location for an event like ours.”
General admission and VIP tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster
for this year’s inaugural Gonzales
Thunder Rally, a three-day rock festival and bike rally Oct. 10-12,
which also features AXE, Great White, the legendary Augie Meyers and Electric
Ocean, a popular regional progressive rock group that will
open for Bret Oct. 11. Founded in 2004, Electric Ocean won San Antonio’s
Battle of the Bands soon after. With every show, Electric Ocean brings a
full concert experience with a laser, L.E.D. and intelligent light
production that rivals any arena rock show. Also appearing: Lucky
Daredevil Thrillshow and celebrity bike builder Troy
Nicholson of Lightning
Cycle Works who will build a motorcycle on site.

Saturday, $35; Sunday, $15.

three-day event pass includes VIP parking, VIP section near the main
stage, private restroom and bar, complimentary food and event T-shirt.

and artist meet-and-greet drawings.

20,000+ bikers and concertgoers from central and south Texas to make the
trip to Gonzales in October, a month known for its great riding weather.
A portion of festival proceeds benefits Norma’s
House in Gonzales.

when his world is always moving? For Season 3, VH1 is loading up a tour
bus filled with beautiful babes and taking them on tour across the
country. Rock of Love Bus with Bret Michaels takes
contestants out of Bret’s mansion and on the
road in true rock star style. This season will feature new ladies vying
for his affection while traveling across America on a month-long tour.
The contestants will face new challenges to see if they can handle the
